A little disclaimer before I get started, I decided to include some of my favorite coffee drinks, along with some of my favorite young adult books. Throughout this post, I’ll explain the books a bit, but also explain why I chose that beverage for the book! That way, next time you crack open one of those books you have the perfect beverage to drink with it.
Chai Latte: They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

They Both Die at the End is one of my favorite books of all time. It follows Mateo and Rufus’ , the two main characters on their last day on Earth. You get to watch them say their goodbyes, participate in fun activities, and more. This book much like a Chai Latte is sweet, the tiniest bit spicy, and just so comforting. A Chai latte is the drink that reminds you to live your life to the fullest and never take a moment for granted.
Mocha: Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy

Dumplin’ is an incredible book all about the life of Willowdean and her journey to participating in her first ever pageant. The story is sweet and wonderful in all the best ways just like a Mocha. It is sure to make you feel warm and loved inside just like a Mocha.
London Fog: American Royals by Katharine McGee

American Royals covers the story of an alternate reality of the United States, where at the beginning, rather than electing their first President, they brought in their first king. It follows the life of two princesses, one of her friends, and a girl eyeing the crown. This story is perfect in every single way, just like a London Fog. The drink is kinda special and different, and not super well known, just like this book. Making a London Fog the perfect beverage for American Royals.
Hot Tea: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games is one of the best books ever written, and also one that everyone knows. It follows the life of Katniss Everdeen in a world where citizens from each district are brought together to fight to the death. Just like Hot Tea, this book never gets old, and can be read a million different times and still find something new. This is why Hot Tea, like green tea, english breakfast, earl grey, etc. is the best beverage to go with The Hunger Games.
Espresso: Divergent by Veronica Roth

Divergent, much like The Hunger Games, is an absolute fan favorite. The book follows the life of Tris as she goes through the process of finding out her own faction. Much like an Espresso, this book is a little bit wild and exciting. This makes espresso the perfect pair for this book.
Matcha Green Tea: The Maze Runner by James Dashner

The Maze Runner series is one of my absolute favorites. The book follows the life of a group of boys who are mysteriously entrapped in a maze and have to find their way out. Much like a Matcha Latte this book is adventurous and a bit crazy. That’s why a Matcha Green Tea Latte is the perfect beverage to pair with this book, and it even matches the cover.
